ABOUT NAYIM EDWARDS

Nayim Edwards, born Nychelle M. Edwards, is a songwriter, singer, rapper, producer and entrepreneur from Portsmouth, Virginia.

 

Her experimental, evolutionary and fluid approach to music brings an exciting new life to Hip Hop/ Rap culture while still sticking with the traditional values that make it the most progressive and unique genre. Some of Nayim's most notable works are her being the voice of Danone North America’s ‘Activia Brand Yogurt,’ her feature on the theme song ‘The Night Has Come’ for the videogame “Vampire : The Masquerade - Swansong,“ the National Cheer Association, and Portuguese campaigns in Brazil for Coca Cola's ‘FANTA’ brand and their Lanchou Nível Fanta Snack Saga series.

 

At age 7, Nayim joined the youth choir and by age 9, she began to play instruments for the church, most notably, the drums. She began writing and producing her own music at age 11. Since she began professionally releasing music in 2017, Nayim has released over 150 songs, as well as, written over 75 songs and projects for other independent artist, brands and companies, including but not limited to The United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, France and various Middle Eastern countries.

 

2024 is looking very luminescent for Nayim.
